When it comes to the loud and proud custom game, baggers are at the forefront of technology and wild style. As it stands at this moment, anything goes in that market, and it’s that no-rules attitude that keeps it moving at a lightning-fast pace. Stand still too long and other builders will quickly pass you up. And always remember: If the shit ain’t new, shit ain’t hot!
If you have ever seen the parade of sportbikes with huge fat tires ranging from 240s to massive 360s, rollin’ down Main Street at Daytona Bike Week (or any other rally for that matter) chances are that bike has some pieces of Roaring Toyz parts on it. Robert Fisher explains, “This bike is owned by a customer of ours who is a custom home builder. We have been building bikes for him over the last 10 years. Usually we are always reworking his bikes by changing colors, parts, and styles between each Daytona Bike Week, so he always has something fresh to ride. Over the years we have built several sportbikes for him. During this time he owned Harleys, but we were not working on them yet. When we dove into the custom Harley market a few years ago, he was quick to drop his off and have us get started on it.”
Using the knowledge and skills from hundreds of custom bike builds, Roaring Toyz capitalized on this trend by releasing its own line of V-twin parts and custom bikes. With the purchase of some SAE wrenches and sockets, Roaring Toyz hit the ground at a full sprint and hasn’t looked back since. It’s that’s type of forward thinking and ingenuity that will ensure this won’t be the first feature we showcase from the new-old custom bike shop. In fact, since this shoot, the bike has already undergone more modifications and is now rolling on a dirty 30. We snoozed, we losed…
