Hot Bike: How did this bike come about?

Cartel Baggers: This 2013 Street Glide was our first lay-frame project we built here at Cartel Baggers of New Jersey and could not be any more pleased with the outcome. What just started as a joke in October 2016 to build a lay-frame bagger ended up becoming a reality. After months of hard work, sleepless nights, and running on Dunkin’ Donuts, we were able to finish it just in time for 2017 Daytona Bike Week.

HB: What challenges did you face when building it?

CB: The argument of what color to choose for this bike became a nightmare! Ever seen a group of guys clueless and staring at a box of crayons trying to picture a perfect color? That was us with no idea because we wanted something different in this build. Along with a good and talented group of guys we made it possible.

HB: Is this bike ridden hard or hardly ridden?

CB: Many doubted this bike would be able to be ridden! They called it “trailer queen,” but we made sure we covered all our angles to make this bike not only show quality but to be able to cross state lines and break some necks on those highways.

This lay-frame bagger, which we call the Dead Pool project, has been ridden out of state numerous times with no issues. Six months of so much hard work with build time and fabrication allowed us to be able to bring this gorgeous bagger into this industry. Stay tuned because project Dead Pool has a lot more plans pending to execute.
