Andrews Conversion Cams allow owners of the earlier TC engines to upgrade the problematic, spring loaded cam chain tensioners and replace them with the new, long wearing hydraulic cam chain tensioners. Conversion Cams also retrofit the use of the 2007- later TC engines improved, high-flow oil pump, cam support plate, cam sprockets and chains into the ’99-2006 engines (except 2006 Dyna Glides). Beginning with 2006 Dyna Glide models, and continuing with all 2007 and later engines, HD introduced several changes in the cam compartment including hydraulic cam chain tensioners, high flow oil pump, plain bearing cam support plate and single row roller sprockets and chains. Andrews Products responded by creating Conversion Cams which allow the use of the much improved later model engine components in ’99-2006 engines.
