The Barebacks are designed to securely lock the saddlebags in place. The male attachment (A) replaces your stock fender bolts, while the female attachment (B), spring (C), and collar (D) are installed onto the saddlebag. When attaching the bags, the female attachment is slipped over the male attachment and the spring then pushes the collar over the male attachment, locking everything in place.

The only thing you need to be aware of before you perform the installation is that you’ll have to relocate your turn signals in order to mount the bags. Here you can see that the male attachments have been installed in place of the stock fender bolts, and the female attachments (along with the spring and collar) have been installed on the saddlebag.
To attach the bag, you simply pull the collar and spring back, slip the female over the male, and then let the spring and collar go.
Another cool product Cycle Visions has are these Bags Straps (MSRP: $24.95 per set). Cycle Visions offers the straps in two different lengths, depending on which bags you have.
The straps simply bolt in place between the Bareback hardware and the saddlebag mounting bracket. The straps make carrying the bags from place to place much easier.

The Bagger Tail System comes with mounting brackets and hardware (except for the quick-detach saddlebag hardware; you need to purchase that from Harley) to make your Softail look like an FLH/FLT-style bike.
