Die Legends Never Die
There are a few names in this industry that need no introduction. There are a few icons that define the V-twin lifestyle from its core. There are a few individuals who have earned their places in the history books as the first, the best, and the founders. One such name that needs no explanation is that of the late, great Indian Larry.
Despite passing nearly a decade ago, Indian Larry’s name and reputation lives on thanks to Bobby and Elisa Seeger who were partners with Larry. “Having assembled a true team from design to builds to customer service, we are keeping Indian Larry’s name alive and rolling forward. We work as a team every step of the way, building only a limited amount of motorcycles every year. Our goal is keeping with the Indian Larry style of a NYC chopper!” explained Elisa.
This 2012 custom has been given the title of White Devil. With 113 cubic inches of S&S fire sitting inside a custom wishbone frame, White Devil is helping to ensure that the IL name lives on for new generations. From its one-off dished tank, baby apes, and Screaming for Vengeance custom tooled seat, this bike has all the old-school charm mixed with a touch of modern technology that will ensure its look be timeless and classic, just like IL. No bike would be complete without the signature rotors and paint by Robert Pradke. “White Devil was inspired by the need to create another motorcycle meant to handle the streets of NYC — comfort is key and simplicity at its best, the ability to maneuver in and around NYC streets and everything in its path. It’s just the way Larry would have wanted it! We still rock our yearly block party every third Saturday in September. This year is our 10th anniversary and it promises to be the biggest yet. We shut down a few avenues in Brooklyn and have music, BBQ, and beverages all day along with the best motorcycles around. Make sure to put September 21, 2013 on your calendar for the 10th Annual Indian Larry Grease Monkey Block Party.”
Trends may come, and trends may go, but style and class live forever. While Indian Larry is no longer with us, his legacy and style lives on thanks to the folks like Bobby and Elisa Seeger. Ride on Indian Larry. You are gone but not forgotten.
