Harley-Davidson Riders Dominate Super Hooligans at The Ridge

The sixth round of the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship presented by Roland Sands Design and powered by Harley-Davidson delivered hard-fought battles and podium sweeps for Harley-Davidson at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Washington. Riders Jake Lewis and Cory West of Saddlemen Race Development split wins in the weekend’s double-header, showcasing the performance potential of the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 ST in the V-twin-dominated series.
Despite a recent rules adjustment that raised the Pan America’s minimum weight from 377 to 450 pounds, Harley racers claimed five of the six available podium spots. With his win on Saturday, Lewis extended his points lead in the Super Hooligan championship standings, while teammate and defending champ West bounced back with a victory on Sunday.

Saturday’s eight-lap contest on the tight, technical 2.47-mile Ridge circuit saw Lewis rocket off the front row to grab an early lead, while teammate West battled with Triumph-mounted pole-sitter Andy DiBrino. West ran off-track on lap 3, handing second to DiBrino, but fought back to finish fourth. James Rispoli, riding for KWR Harley-Davidson, slipped past DiBrino on lap 7 to take second behind Lewis, who secured his fourth straight win with a commanding 1.940-second margin.
“This was about making a statement,” said Lewis after the race. “The Saddlemen team worked their tails off this offseason, and despite the weight change, we’re still here to win. They can keep trying to slow us down — we’re not backing off.”

Sunday’s race saw West come out swinging, leading Lewis and Rispoli into turn one. The trio broke away from the field by lap 3, trading aggressive passes in a high-stakes battle. On lap 7, Rispoli overtook Lewis for second, setting up a dramatic final-lap showdown. West held off Rispoli by a razor-thin 0.027 seconds to claim victory. Lewis, struggling with setup issues, crossed the line in third.
“Carrying the number one plate adds pressure,” West admitted. “After a rough couple of rounds, this win gets my confidence back. Now it’s time to focus on Laguna — I usually go well there.”

Rispoli, who failed to finish either race in Atlanta, was thrilled with his pair of second-place finishes. “We kept it clean, and I had the pace to win. This KWR Pan America is finally coming alive. Double deuces? I’ll take it.”
After six rounds, Lewis leads the Mission Super Hooligan standings with 123 points, followed by West (99), Travis Wyman (86), Cody Wyman (80), and Rispoli (67). The series continues July 11–13 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during the MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest.
