Ryan was tasked with taking a stock bike and customizing it with some key components to enhance its performance, aesthetic appeal, and rider comfort. Ryan begins by replacing stock foot pegs with Pro-One Moto style pegs, which offer better ground clearance and a more aggressive look, while also installing an adjustable brake linkage from Green Brothers Designs to improve ergonomics. He addresses various mechanical challenges such as missing pins and linkage compatibility issues, demonstrating careful attention to detail.
Moving on, Ryan upgrades the shift peg with one from Thrashing Supply, cleans the components with specialized products, and installs a more adjustable and visually appealing shift linkage. He then fits Archetype Manufacturing risers and Arlen Ness stainless handlebars, emphasizing adjustability and comfortable fitment, especially considering his titanium neck and personal riding preferences.
He also tackles wiring challenges, including fitting a new Custom Dynamics LED taillight with integrated blinkers and brake lights, noting the clever magnetic mounting solutions and plug-and-play harness that avoids complicated modifications. Ryan takes time to troubleshoot cable lengths, especially clutch cables for the 2023 Softail, highlighting the intricacies of accurate measurement and compatibility in modern motorcycles.
Throughout the build, Ryan provides actionable tips on assembly technique, hardware selection, and the importance of quality cables and hardware to maintain reliability and aesthetics. Alongside technical aspects, the video features candid shop interactions, sponsorship shoutouts, and glimpses into upcoming modifications like advanced fairings, wheels, and more Kruesi Originals parts.
Overall, this episode offers a comprehensive, authentic look at the practical challenges and thoughtful customizations involved in building a unique, high-performance Harley-Davidson Low Rider S, serving both as an instructional guide and an engaging narrative for motorcycle enthusiasts.
