Reader’s Showcase
Attention, Hot Bike Readers!
Samson Exhaust has big news for you. As the sponsor of this department, Samson will give you a $75 gift certificate toward a set of Samson pipes if we select your bike. That’s right-get your bike published in full color in your favorite mag and receive bucks off your next set of Samson pipes! You can’t lose.
All we ask is that you follow these simple guidelines: Take a shot of your bike from the left and right side with a clean background. Don’t show us your cars, boats, neighbors, or bicycles in the photo, just your bike. Please send color prints, slides, or high-resolution images on CD. No digital prints from your computer, please. Remember, the better the picture looks, the more likely it is to be published. And now that you can get some new pipes cheap, there is even more reason to send sharp photos.
We want to see what you ride, from doctored stock to wild custom, so send those pics to: Hot Bike Readers’ Showcase, 2570 E. Cerritos Ave., Anaheim, CA 92806.
Deuces Up
Air Force Technical Sergeant Tracy Bozeman had only ridden her 883L Sporty for about a year when she decided to move up to a bigger bike. This ’05 Deuce received a chic makeover at the shop, earning custom paint along with new pipes, wheels, grips, handlebars, and other details. This gal’s bike is anything but girly.

Mercenary Man
Dan caught the customizing bug when he put together this sleek Big Bear Choppers Merc chopper kit. After making some modifications to the frame and fender, as well as fabricating the grips on his own, he made some additional changes to the tank and further adjustments that allowed the chopper to become a mean, sleek, riding machine. As his three young daughters had fun handing tools to their father during the build, this bike is truly a family endeavor.

Kickin’ It
Bob feels that you haven’t had a true Harley ride ’til you ride a shovelhead, and “Kickin’ It,” his ’70 FLH Electra Glide, exemplifies that sentiment. As his first Harley and his first project, Kickin’ It is both his pride and joy, as well as practice for his next custom build.

Fatboy’s Heritage
Mona Vachon knew two things when she set out to buy her first Harley: It had to be an FL Softail, and it had to be pearl white. This ’01 Fat Boy was the first bike she saw, and nothing else compared to it. She and her husband set it up like a Heritage for long road trips and look forward to many more miles aboard it.

No Softie
The kids are grown up and out of the house-what to do? Instead of sitting around and waiting for the years to pass, Walt and Darla decided it was time to ride the way they did when they were younger. They’ve since discovered their best years are still ahead.

Return of the Sturgis
Five weeks after owner James Hilton picked up this bike from a yard sale, it was run over and had to be put back together from the tires up. Two rebuilds later, it looks as good as the day it was first built.
