We just finished mocking up two new Paughco tanks for our ’06 XLC 1200 Sportster (made for ’04-’06 carbureted Sportsters). We wanted to see what the 3.4-gallon and 4.5-gallon tanks looked like on the bike. Both are Stretched Single Cap Tanks that are designed for a single offset stock style filler cap, and have a 22mm external thread petcock fitting for use with stock and aftermarket petcocks. The 4.5 tank is 14-inches wide and the 3.4 measures 12-inches wide. Both tanks are 9-inches deep with 5-inch tunnels, and are 21-inches long. The entire article with pics of how each one looks will be in an upcoming issue soon. Stay tuned!
