The 2025 Bagger Racing League (BRL) season kicked off with high energy and fierce competition at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, and the Feuling Parts Racing Team wasted no time making their mark. From April 25–27, the team brought their A-game to the California desert, fielding the latest iteration of their race bike — the Feuling “Flying Pig 3.0” Harley-Davidson Road Glide — piloted by none other than legendary road racer Ruben Xaus.

Friday’s practice sessions generated buzz in the paddock as Xaus quickly found his rhythm aboard the Feuling-tuned Road Glide. With each lap, he continued to shave seconds off his time despite the weekend’s punishing desert winds and relentless dust storms. His efforts paid off with the fastest lap of the weekend, clocking in at an impressive 1:51.1 — setting the bar for the 2025 BRL season.

Saturday’s race brought both triumph and turbulence. In the GP class main event, Xaus launched off the line and quickly built a commanding lead aboard the Flying Pig 3.0. Despite a dramatic crash caused by an oil leak — the result of ongoing contact between the exhaust pipe and pavement that eventually cracked the transmission case — Xaus displayed incredible tenacity. With enough of a lead over the field, he managed to remount and still take the checkered flag, securing a hard-earned #1 finish in the GP class.

While the victory was a testament to both rider skill and machine performance, it came at a cost. Damage to the transmission and the challenges of obtaining parts in the middle of the California desert forced the Feuling Racing crew to reassess their weekend plans. Factoring in ongoing dust storm conditions and Ruben’s upcoming international BRL appearance in Europe, the team made the difficult call to withdraw from Sunday’s events and shift focus toward preparing for the next round of racing.

The 2025 season is just beginning, but Feuling Parts and Ruben Xaus have already made a statement. Their performance at Chuckwalla confirms that the Flying Pig 3.0 is one of the fastest Harley-Davidson Road Glides on the BRL grid. With continued development and support from the Feuling team, expectations are high as Xaus prepares for his next appearance in the European leg of the Bagger Racing League.
