S&S Cycle Vintage Tour Steals the Spotlight at Mooneyes 2025
The S&S Cycle Vintage Tour made a powerful international appearance at the Mooneyes Hot Rod Custom Show this past November, bringing authentic American V-twin performance to one of the most influential custom shows on the planet. Held annually in Yokohama, the Mooneyes show is a global celebration of hot rods, customs, and handcrafted machines—and S&S Cycle fit perfectly into that world.
At the center of the display were three custom motorcycles, each highlighting a different S&S engine platform. Together, they told a complete story of where V-twin culture has been—and where it’s going.
Shovelhead Style: Classic Chopper Energy

The first build leaned heavily into old-school chopper roots, powered by an S&S Shovelhead-style engine. With period-correct proportions, vintage finishes, and timeless mechanical presence, this bike captured the raw spirit of early American custom culture. S&S’s modern manufacturing allowed the builder to retain classic aesthetics while delivering reliable, rideable performance—something that resonated strongly with Japanese custom enthusiasts.
Panhead Tradition: Heritage Refined

Next was a traditional custom centered around an S&S Panhead engine, showcasing clean lines, careful fabrication, and a deep respect for history. Panheads remain one of the most iconic engine designs in motorcycling, and S&S’s platform offers builders the ability to recreate that look and sound without relying on rare or fragile original motors. This build struck a perfect balance between nostalgia and precision.
S&S V-Series: Modern Performance Muscle
Rounding out the trio was a contemporary custom powered by an S&S V-Series engine. With aggressive styling, modern chassis geometry, and performance-driven intent, this bike represented the future of V-twin customization. It demonstrated how S&S continues to push performance forward while staying true to the character that defines American V-twin engines. HB
