Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show V-Twin Winners At NYC IMS Show
With the Progressive International Motorcycle Shows cross-country caravan having made its second stop in New York last week, it also meant new winners were announced for the second round of the 2018–2019 J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show (UBCBS), which took place concurrently at IMS New York. Some of the best custom bikes from all over the country, featuring a couple of familiar names as well as first-timers, competed in several categories, each offering cash, swag, and bragging rights, as well as the chance to move on in the competition. The winners will go on to let it all hang out in the championship round in Chicago on February 17, 2019.
Here’s a look at the American V-twin winners at the 2018–’19 New York IMS, in their respective slots.

In the Freestyle class, Tim Dixon of Gas Axe Chop Shop brought home the medal with his 2018 Custom Chopper, a ground-up custom build with a handmade frame and wheels.

A runner-up in the Freestyle category was this Harley-Davidson fronting a huge 30-inch wheel, with air ride front and rear, and a big tire kit for the back.

The Custom Retro category showcased this Chaos Cycle entry, a custom build with a 1983 Shovelhead engine at its core, along with a variety of Chaos Cycle-built parts, like the fender, gas tank, exhaust. and more.

Runner-up in the Custom Street group was Rollin’ Fast Cycle Sports’ 2016 Indian Springfield. The custom bagger featured Rollin’ Fast Speed Shop handlebars, RideWright fat spoke wheel, Bux custom seat, custom rear end kit, and LED lighting.

Jason Campbell with JP Customs NY won the Custom Harley-Davidson category with a 2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide sporting a lay-frame, 30-inch front wheel, dual 18-inch rotors, CMP turbocharger, Down & Out TOL tailsection, front and rear air ride, and a custom fairing.

Meanwhile Anthony Sansonetti/Motorworx was the runner-up for the Custom Harley segment with a 2016 Harley-Davidson Road Glide featuring custom bags, a Paul Yaffe stretched tank, custom outer fairing, 26-inch wheel, and centerstand custom seat.
