Classic Style

Check out Harold Kihega’s fifth bike-and second Harley. The Otoe-Missouria, Comanche, and Kiowa Indian from Albuquerque, NM, wanted to go with a classic-looking bike. We’d say that he accomplished his goal by going with this Springer Classic…wouldn’t you?

Custom Built

Javier Gonzalez of Hobbs, NM, spent about a year and a half with his first garage build, featured here. After putting in grueling hours for Schlumberger as the company’s maintenance supervisor, he loved coming home to put in even longer hours to wrench on his ride. Now, he’s reaping the rewards

Old School

Steve Bonk of Chicago, IL, sent us some photos of his fifth bike, which he’s built over the last 44 years (he is now 56). This ’36 knucklehead was his most complicated build yet, because it’s a first-year bike. As you know, they were almost handmade individually, and so had many subtle variations that made them unique. Nice work, Steve!

Souped-Up Sportster

Tony Gevo of Belleair Beach, FL, felt it was time for a Sportster to grace the pages of the “Readers’ Showcase” section. Tony feels that the Sportster has the most beautiful lines of any bike ever made and exemplifies what biking is all about.
