Hometown Harley-Davidsons: A FXR Restored to Glory
Hot Bike’s Hometown Harley-Davidsons/Reader’s Rides is migrating to the web. That way, we’re not limited to three cool bikes built by you guys every month. Woohoo!
Let’s take a look at this FXR from Armond Martin III of Saucier, Mississippi. He restored his 1982 Harley-Davidson FXRS restored by himself. The bike is as good as new, complete with repainting in the original factory colors. This is not to say the bike is completely stock, though. Its Evolution V-twin is of the 80 cubic inch persuasion and it sports a 5-speed transmission.
“It was painted by my friend Butch Quavis in south Mississippi,” Armond tells us. “The motor now has S&S wheels and rods with STD cylinders and pistons. It rides and runs like new. Thanks for your consideration. You’re welcome, Armond. Thanks for sending it in.
