Two-into-one stainless steel performance pipes are all the rage right now. It seems that the “race” look and performance they provide is a winning combination. Jay at FAB28 Industries was kind enough to send in one of his exhausts to install on our “Daily Dyna” project 2015 H-D Dyna Lowrider. When we received the 12-pound $999 pipe it was apparent that Jay knows his way around a welder, with every junction of this pipe being a thing of TIG-welded beauty. The FAB28 exhaust system came complete with a nice mid-length muffler, a sturdy handmade rear bracket, and we installed it in less than 20 minutes. Here’s how it went.

With the stock pipe off the bike, we used the OEM hardware to install the new stainless rear pipe to the rear cylinder head of the bike’s engine.

The same was done to the front cylinder head pipe before attaching the Y-pipe and muffler to both headers.

The beautiful FAB28 rear-mounting bracket securely attaches to the transmission at the exhaust’s muffler and head pipe junction.

The pipe is of a slip-fit design with a pair of these FAB28 exhaust springs keeping it securely together with a neat and tidy look.

The FAB28 muffler is nonrestrictive yet not too loud.

Once the FAB28 pipe was on and aligned, we started to secure it to the bike using factory torque specs.

The bike’s O2 sensors were installed as per H-D’s specifications.

The final bit of tech was to torque down the muffler and rear exhaust mount.

And here it is: one badass and beautiful example of an all-out performance stainless-steel 2-into-1 exhaust.
