The 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Joins the Hot Bike Stable

We just picked up our brand spankin’ new 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide from our pals at Zion Harley-Davidson, and we’re excited to log thousands of miles on our new motorcycle. We also have quite a few projects for the Road Glide in the works, but until then, here’s a brief overview of Harley’s iconic bagger in a very modernized approach.

The Harley Road Glide has come a long way during its tenure. It continues its legacy as the gold standard in performance baggers, seamlessly merging classic style with groundbreaking technology and engineering. With bold design updates, increased performance, and cutting-edge rider aids, this next-generation Road Glide is tailored for the touring rider who craves comfort, connectivity, and most importantly, style for miles.

At the heart of the 2025 Road Glide is Harley-Davidson’s liquid-cooled Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, delivering 130 ft-lbs of torque. Designed for long hauls and highway dominance, this powerhouse benefits from liquid-cooled cylinder heads that better manage engine temperature for optimal performance in any riding condition. Thanks to a reduction in overall weight and updated chassis tuning, the Road Glide offers sharper handling and greater agility without sacrificing its legendary stability at speed.

The 2025 Road Glide introduces a refined user interface with a 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen display. The screen places navigation, infotainment, and ride mode controls at the rider’s fingertips while maintaining a clean, uncluttered interface. Bluetooth connectivity enables seamless pairing with mobile devices, while the integrated fairing-mounted speakers deliver rich, high-fidelity sound whether you’re cruising highways or hanging at the local bike meet.

The new Road Glide is loaded with tech, too. Riders can tailor their experience with three pre-programmed ride modes—Sport, Road, and Rain—as well as a fully customizable mode to fine-tune throttle response, traction control, ABS settings, and engine braking. This adjustability allows the Road Glide to shift its personality on demand, from laid-back cruiser to aggressive tourer.
The Road Glide’s iconic sharknose fairing design has even been optimized using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to improve aerodynamic performance and reduce helmet buffeting. Seamlessly integrated LED lighting not only enhances visibility but also contributes to the streamlined, modern silhouette of the motorcycle.
With 18-inch rear and 19-inch front cast-aluminum wheels offered in black or chrome trim, the new Road Glide provides a balanced stance both visually and functionally.
Ergonomically speaking, riders can dial the 27 degrees of handlebar adjustability to fine-tune the fit with the one-piece seat for a cockpit tuned just for them.
For us, the White Onyx Pearl paint against the all-black chassis/drivetrain was the perfect balance of color and finish. But there are seven new premium factory paint options, including the Factory Custom Mystic Shift—a dynamic finish that shifts color from gunmetal to purple, blue, and even orange in direct sunlight—allow each rider to make a personal style statement.
Technology plays an even bigger role in rider safety. Harley-Davidson’s Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements package works silently in the background, ready to assist in challenging conditions. Cornering ABS (C-ABS), Cornering Enhanced Linked Braking (C-ELB), and Cornering Traction Control (C-TCS) adjust braking force and power delivery based on lean angle, providing additional control in critical moments. The Drag-Torque Slip Control System (C-DSCS) keeps the rear wheel steady during sudden deceleration or aggressive downshifting—especially helpful on slick roads.
Other rider aids like Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) simplify uphill starts by keeping the brakes engaged after releasing the brake lever, while Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) ensures riders stay informed of air pressure to optimize performance and safety.
The 2025 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is not just a step forward—it’s a reinvention of the modern American touring motorcycle. It stays true to its roots with unmistakable style and V-twin attitude, while integrating next-level performance, rider-centric ergonomics, and sophisticated technology.
Whether you’re clocking serious miles on the open road or customizing your ride for the show circuit, the new Road Glide proves once again why it remains the undisputed king of bagger performance. For riders who demand style, substance, and the latest in tech, the 2025 Road Glide delivers all that and more—solidifying Harley-Davidson’s position at the forefront of the V-twin touring market.
