V-Rod Muscle Test Ride

So I got a leg over the new V-Rod Muscle finally and all I can say is FUN! This bike is just so much fun to ride. You don;t just cruise on a V-rod, it’s hard not to constantly twist the throttle and let the rev’s race up.

I like the look of the bike, it’s very aggressive and industrial. I wasn’t too sure about the seating position, but I found it fairly comfortable, and the squared-off back section really keeps you tucked into the bike. The clam shell seating position wasn’t too bad, but I think mid controls would be much more comfortable.
The fat rear tire does keep the bike from being real nimble, I actually thought the Muscle was kind of stiff (not so much in the suspension, but just over all). I’m not saying you can’t lay it down in the curves, you can and I did, it just felt like if i were to get it into some tight switch backs it would be a lot of work to maneuver in and out of multiple turns.
But like I said bombing down the freeway, it’s hard to resist wrapping on the throttle and weaving through traffic, the power band is just awesome. The bike really likes to come to life up in the higher rpm’s, like above 6000, then it;s hold on tight and keep your head down.
