Big Bear Choppers Opens a New Dealership and Repair Shop
Big Bear Choppers announces the opening of an authorized dealership, Big Bear California Customs in Perris, CA., which will also operate a motorcycle repair shop for the revolutionary motorcycle maker based in Big Bear Lake.
Since launching the company in 1998 in a humble shop, Kevin and his wife Mona Alsop have established a thundering presence and solid street credibility by producing creative, well-built motorcycles with a personal customer service. The 25-employee company has designed, engineered, and built custom motorcycles for Chris Angel, and numerous celebrities. It’s ingenious designs have been featured on Travel Channel, Discovery Channel’s “Biker Build-Off” and “World’s Most Expensive Rides” and featured on FX Channel’s hit TV Show “Sons of Anarchy”.
The new shop is located at 25911 State Highway 74 and is strategically positioned on Ortega Highway, which connects the 215 and the 10 freeways, a route popular with riders from Idyllwild to Hell’s Kitchen. A full-time motorcycle mechanic Mickey Morosoli or “Chopper doctor” is on hand to fix all motorcycles that ride in to the 8,000-square foot shop, including Harley Davidson’s, Bourget, American Iron Horse, Big Dog and custom-built rides. Kevin Alsop will oversee the repairs and meet with customers at least two days a week to design any style custom frame and springer front ends. Big Bear Customs joins a growing cadre of international distributors and authorized dealers selling Big Bear Choppers across the globe.
“A repair shop is essential because there’s a spike in riders fixing up the motorcycles they own,” said Mona Alsop. “This new location means motorcycles will get fixed up and on the road faster.”
