2017 Hot Bike Tour
This year the Hot Bike Tour will consist of four distinct rides where our magazine editors and the world’s top custom builders will meet up with the Hot Bike Tour’s LongRiders from all parts North, South, East, and West. They will visit special locations and attractions along the way. The LongRiders and other tour riders from all points across the globe will end up at Smoky Mountain H-D for the official kick-off party and the first of the official invitational Build-Off bike shows. From there the whole group of editors, builders, and LongRiders will head to the hub location of Johnson City, Tennessee, for three days of wild rides, judging, ride-in bikes shows, concerts, vendors, food, and drinks. Johnson City is also home of the Southern Dozen, which is 12 epic motorcycle rides that all leave from downtown. For three days you can choose what rides you want to go on and which editors and bike builders you want to ride with. We guarantee this year’s Hot Bike Tour is a motorcycle rider’s “bucket list” dream event!
What is a LongRider?
Since the very first Hot Bike Tour we have had an esteemed group of riders join us on all stops of the tour from tip to tail. These riders sign up early as a LongRider for deals on hotel rooms, food, fun, products, and some major free swag.
Do I have to ride the whole tour?
No. Although we do want you to hit all the stops with us, you can do as many days as you want.
How does the Invitational Build-Off work?
We invited more than 30 of the world’s top bike builders to build and ride their bikes on the tour. Every night you, the public, vote on whose bike is best in a true people’s choice contest!
How much does it cost to see all the action?
Spectators are free. Bring your pals, take the wife, or haul out the kids to see the builders, judge the bike shows, hear some bands, and have some good food and cold drinks in a street-fair-like atmosphere. You can even check out and demo some of the coolest products the motorcycle business has to offer from the Hot Bike Tour vendor row for zero dollars!
Can I show my bike?
Yes! We will have a ride-in bike show at Smoky Mountain H-D and all three days in Johnson City where editors and pro builders alike judge your two-wheeled creation. Who knows? Your bike may even end up in the pages of Hot Bike!
What are the dates, and where can I get more info?
September 6–10, 2017, and you can go to hotbike.com/tour for all the info! HB
