Wild style is great for a custom Vtwin but performance is where the real fun is in my opinion. Read enough bike features in enough magazines and you’ll come across this sentence (or some variant of it) a lot: “Now the bike runs like a bat out of hell and looks great doing it.” It’s an old cliche that I’ve used and abused as much as everyone else but if you think about it for a sec, what comes first? How the bike runs. What’s the add-on for the second half? How it looks. Even when us editorial types weld that sentence to the end of a paragraph in a story, we know what’s what, consciously or not.
