Describe yourself in three words.
Ambitious, creative, intuitive.
What are you currently building?
Two custom Softails, Triumph T100 bobber, and two ground-up Shovelheads.
What was your first bike?
An RM 50. My first Harley was an ’81 Ironhead.
What is your all-time favorite bike?
My friend Fast Eddie’s ’47 knuckle bobber.
Why did you choose to work in the motorcycle industry?
I have loved bikes since I was nine years old. When I got the opportunity to choose a career that would make me happy, it was a no-brainer. I just jumped in headfirst and didn’t look back.
What do you think the future of the motorcycle industry is?
The answer to that question is different for each facet of the industry. I think the future of the touring industry—at least the immediate future—lies in its past. Harley-Davidson will still lead because of its legendary name, but companies like Indian will come on strong with the newer generation wanting to stand apart from the crowd. Metrics will never go away because of their price point.
What is your greatest life achievement so far?
My four perfect children.
What has been your biggest regret to date?
Not spending more time with my older children. Family is the only important thing in the end.
What inspires you?
My little girls.
Who are your three all-time favorite bike builders?
Ben Jordan, Bill Dodge, Warren Lane.
