2. Leatherpros bags come with two lengths of bolts for installation. One set is for stock applications, and the longer bolts are if you have a detachable sissy bar.

3. After you have selected the proper length hardware, insert the bolt through the longer stainless-steel spacer first and then the round spacer

4. Apply blue thread-locker on the threads of the appropriate bolt. A dab will do just fine.

5. Using a 7/32 Allen, insert the bolt and spacer combo through the strut and fender then place the supplied nut onto the bolt end. Doing one bolt at a time eliminates the chance for your fender to become crooked or accidentally scratching the fender paint. Torque to 22 foot-pounds.

6. Pulling upward on the FXDXT replica bag is how the locking mechanisms work. When the handle is up, the latch is in the open position and can be taken on and off the bike with ease. When the handle is down, the bag is securely attached and locked from the inside of the bag.

7. Place the front of the bag on the front mounting point on the motorcycle with the handle in its up position. After the front of the bag is mounted, simply pop the rear mounting point on the bag directly onto the rear docking point.

8. To close the latch and lock mechanism, simply push down on the bag handle and you will hear and feel the bag lock onto the docking points.

9. To secure the bags from thieving, simply get a padlock and insert the locking post inside the bag through the locking tab that is built into the saddlebag. It’s that simple.

10. Repeat install procedure for other side of bike, and your bags should look like this when completed.
