The Little Things… | Willy Shiny’s Wheel Spacers
In the never-ending quest for personality, customizers search far and wide to make their bikes stand out from the pack. In a lot of cases it’s the little things that go a long way.
Joe Cutshall, owner of Willy Shiny in Rancho Cucamonga, California, was tinkering around with his Road King and couldn’t find the right set of wheel spacers. He took some blocks of aluminum, cut them on his lathe, and as they say…the rest is history. The wheel spacers (starting at $89.95 per set) are not only properly spaced for stock Harley-Davidson wheels, but they also hide the front rotors’ unsightly bolts along with the wheel axles.
The spacers are made from billet aluminum, then chromed or powdercoated black to your liking. Recently Willy Shiny released these black with polished rivets wheel spacers for Fat Bob models, and the company will also work with customers looking for a custom wheel spacer design. Willy Shiny also offers spacers for models equipped with ABS.
We had a friend at Skip Fordyce Harley-Davidson in Riverside, California, with an ’09 Dyna Fat Bob that was begging for a nice new set of Willy Shiny’s black and machined-cut spacers. Shop technician Alvie did the installation in about 10 minutes. All you’d need to install these puppies is the ability to get your front wheel off the ground, some basic tools, and you’re good to go.
