Michael Lichter Gallery
Motorcycle photography is synonymous with the name Michael Lichter. That’s as it should be. His enormous collection of work spans decades and has been featured all over the custom bike world.
Since 1977, this Colorado native has been on the road at just about every two-wheeled event and gathering the world over while carrying a myriad of camera gear around his neck and snapping countless soon-to-be-famous photos.
The menagerie of images his keen eye has captured for almost 40 decades have become both iconic and famous for their raw and real subject matter. Willie G. Davidson once told me, “Michael shows us how things were, are, and will be with his photos.” And I could not agree more.
As both Dave Bell’s cartoons and David Mann’s art have set some sort of standard for choppers and bikers to relate to and align themselves with, Michael’s photos have done the same thing for generations of folks—and continue to do so to this very day.
Michael was kind enough to share with us some of his personal favorite photos he has shot throughout the years, and we could not be happier to share them with you all. Enjoy.
