The Moto Beach Classic Is Bringing Flat Track, Mini Moto, And Dragstrip Racing To The Southern California Beach
Do you like watching flat track racing? How about drag racing? Is mini moto racing your thing? Maybe you hate motorcycles (this is a strange site to read if so), but how about skating or surfing? If you like any of those things (and live in Southern California), you’re going to love the Moto Beach Classic. And if you hate all those things, you’re a bozo but should still come because it’s on the beach and there are bands and everyone loves the beach and music.
The Moto Beach Classic has been a dream of Roland Sands for years—and this year it’s finally coming true. They’re building a special 110 x 300-foot track right next to the beach where they’ll be holding the penultimate round of the Hooligan National Championship racing series. On top of that, there will be a variety of other classes from the Run What Ya Brung class to the Tank Shift Vintage class to the Degenerate Chopper class.
There will also be an asphalt course for mini moto racing, a BMW-sponsored dragstrip to crown a Salty Sprint champion, a bike and art show sponsored by Iron & Air, and a music stage with acts like Unwritten Law, Lit, and Black Uhuru.

No bike show/race/music festival would be complete without food, and the Moto Beach Classic will have multiple vendor areas with a mix of food and beverage and motorcycle products to check out.
So, if you want to come watch some guys spin in circles really fast or want to watch other guys crash in circles really fast or you just want to come to a ripping party on the beach, come hang out with us at the Moto Beach Classic. It’s all going down next Saturday, October 14, at Bolsa Chica State Beach just north of Huntington Beach in Southern California.
