7 New Exhaust Pipes For Harley Fat Bob Models
When Harley-Davidson revamped its Softail lineup for 2018, exhaust manufacturers were eager to take the holeshot in being first to market with new exhaust pipes for the new Softail models. From the looks of things, the Harley Fat Bob seems to have received the most attention from pipe makers.
While making the rounds during 2018’s Daytona Bike Week we came across a handful of some of the new pipes from the likes of Harley-Davidson, S&S Cycle, Vance & Hines, Rinehart Racing, Bassani, Two Brothers Racing, Cobra USA, and more. Some manufacturers are offering only slip-ons at this point, but some are already producing 2-into-1 pipes.
Take a look at some of these new exhaust pipes for the Harley Fat Bob. We’ve been itching to get our hands on some of these new products to test on our in-house dyno (and we’ll report our findings as soon as we do), but for now, take a look at what’s out there for your new Softail.
Harley-Davidson Street Cannon Slip-Ons

The Street Cannon 4.5-inch street-compliant high-flow mufflers ($499.95) are tuned to deliver an aggressive exhaust note and claimed performance improvement. The straight-through perforated baffle also claims to reduce airflow restriction and produce a rich exhaust note throughout the entire rpm range.
The S&S Grand National slip-ons ($449.95) feature a race-inspired design with a ceramic finish and feature a removable decibel reducer for backpressure and sound tuning to meet J2825 levels for sound. These slip-ons claim to increase horsepower by 12 percent and torque output by 6 percent (when used with S&S Stealth air cleaner kit).
Two Brothers’ Comp-S 2-1 full system ($759.98) features the company’s classic stainless 2-1 cone system complete with either a carbon-fiber end cap or a welded Megaphone Gen II end cap. The stepped headers claim to offer a substantial horsepower and torque increase. The Comp S is also designed to accommodate both stock (12mm) O2 sensors as well as aftermarket wideband (18mm) sensors for tuning versatility.
The Vance & Hines Hi-Output slip-ons ($449.99) offer a stepped, stacked, and staggered design with a blacked-out finish to match the styling of the Fat Bob. Vance & Hines says this pipe offers an aggressive deep tone and comes in matte black finish with laser-engraved riveted badges. Choose an optional Quiet Baffle if you’re worried about your neighbors (part #21841).

Cobra USA El Diablo Slip-Ons

Cobra’s El Diablo slip-ons ($449.95) were designed to look like they came on the bike. The matte black pipes and machined aluminum tips feature a lasered Cobra logo, and the mufflers’ aggressive style exemplifies the performance look and stance of the machine. Claimed power output and and beefy low-end grunt round out the package.
Bassani Road Rage 2-Into-1

Bassani’s Road Rage 2-Into-1 ($869.95) has made its way onto several different Harley models, and it’s now available for the Fat Bob. Stepped from 1-3/4 inches to 1-7/8 inches, this 2-into-1 utilizes an advanced inner collector for performance enhancements. Featuring a megaphone style muffler, the Road Rage for Fat Bob also comes equipped with 18mm bungs (with 12mm adapters) to aid in tuning.

Rinehart Racing’s Fat Bob 4.5-inch slip-ons ($549.95) feature a factory-matched finish and laser-etched end caps. These slip-on mufflers retain the stock catalyst and are 100 percent CARB and EPA emissions compliant.
