I have always loved two wheels. The function, sound, feeling, artistry, and craftsmanship really hit me at an early age.”
Describe yourself in three words.
Passionate. Curious. Creative.
Three things you love.
Family. Being outside. Coffee.
Three things you hate.
I am not going to answer that.
Why the motorcycle industry?
I have always loved two wheels. The function, sound, feeling, artistry, and craftsmanship really hit me at an early age. It started with bicycles and just went from there.
What is the future of the motorcycle industry?
I bet it involves people riding bikes.
What is your greatest achievement?
My kids and wife. Overcoming growing up in Fontana, California.
What are your biggest regrets?
I don’t look back. I live with my decisions.
Who inspires you?
A lot of people. Too many to list here.
What was your first bike?
1965 BSA Lightning. I got it in 1998 in parts and put it together with no help from the internet. [Laughs] It was fun trying to find all that stuff I needed.
What is your all-time favorite bike?
I don’t know, I haven’t put it together yet. Being Native American, I would like an Indian Scout some day.
What are you currently building?
A 1963 FL Panhead. I got the motor in pieces from a friend, Ed. He then restored it for me. Mick, of Micks Chopper Shop, and Mikey Santoro and his dad, Mad Mike of Mike’s Fabrication, are putting my ideas together for the rest of it.
Any last words?
Thanks so very much to my wife for understanding my compulsiveness and loving me, and to my friends and the people that support my art work. Thanks very much!!
