FORGED: Forever Rad’s One-Off Custom Indian Chieftain PowerPlus for Country Star Tyler Hubbard

Indian Motorcycle’s FORGED custom build series is all about passion, performance, and personalization—and in its latest installment, it hits all three marks. Hosted this year by FMX icon Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, this episode showcases a one-off Indian Chieftain PowerPlus built by Kyle Bertsch and his team at Forever Rad for country music star Tyler Hubbard, formerly of Florida Georgia Line.

Twitch and Kyle rolled to Idaho to deliver Tyler’s new custom Chieftain PowerPlus and the moment Tyler–and Twitch–saw the bike it was clear that it wasn’t your average V-twin build. Tyler, now a successful solo artist, is no stranger to two wheels. “My dad got me into racing motocross when I was about 5,” Tyler shares. “I’ve always loved bikes—dirt or street. It’s been a huge part of who I am.”

That lifelong love of motorcycles made him the perfect recipient for this ultra-custom Indian Chieftain PowerPlus, built from the ground up by Bertsch and the Forever Rad crew. And when we say “custom,” we mean it—every bolt, every bracket, and every body panel has been touched, tweaked, or transformed.

“We went into this project with full creative freedom,” Kyle says. “As soon as we knew it was for Tyler, we got in touch and he gave us a few ideas, but really he told me, ‘I trust you, just go for it.’ That was all I needed.”
The result is a mind-melting combination of performance engineering and West Coast flair. From the fully cerakoted PowerPlus engine to the smoothed and coated chassis, carbon fiber fenders, and a custom-tailored Saddlemen seat from Forever Rad’s signature line, this Chieftain PowerPlus is dripping in detail.

Standouts include a bespoke HPI exhaust—a one-off pipe with Forever Rad branding—that not only looks the part but delivers serious power. Up front, the bike runs Big Bear Performance fork cartridges paired with a Big Bear rear shock, making it more than ready for spirited canyon carving or cross-country highway pulls.
Tyler was floored at first sight. “This thing is bad,” he said, walking circles around the bike with childlike awe. “The pictures didn’t do it justice. And just hearing it fire up? Man, I got chills.”
For Kyle, the feeling is mutual. “Seeing his reaction—speechless, just trying to soak it all in—that’s the best part of what I do. You can’t fake that kind of excitement.”
From the raw aluminum finishes to the cut and reshaped gas tank, the craftsmanship is as elite as the styling. The fenders, for example, are lightweight carbon fiber—including the front, which was sourced from an Indian FTR and adapted for this build. Kyle describes the final product as “tall, aggressive, fast,” blending street bike agility with road trip comfort.
Performance touches don’t stop there. A full array of Kraus Motor Co. parts—bars, risers, boards, and pegs—add to the aggressive riding position, while Forever Rad’s own LP6 Baja headlight kit, originally designed for the Chieftain platform, completes the bike’s signature look.
“For us, it was about showing what’s possible,” Kyle says. “Every single part you see on this bike, we manufacture or offer. It’s a showcase, but it’s also meant to be ridden—hard.”
Tyler agrees. After throwing a leg over and taking it for a spin through the Idaho mountains, he came back beaming. “It just handled incredibly. I’m so excited to keep putting miles on this thing. The fact that nobody else has one like it just makes it even more special.”
The Indian Motorcycle FORGED series continues to push boundaries with every build, but this Forever Rad x Tyler Hubbard collaboration raises the bar yet again. Equal parts showpiece and shredder, this Chieftain PowerPlus is more than just a custom—it’s a rolling reminder of what’s possible when artistry, engineering, and soul collide.
