Harley or Full Custom
If you had the opportunity to own the bike of your dreams what would it be, a factory built Harley-Davidson that was then customized to your liking or a ground-up full blown, one off custom built exactly to your specs?

For some the answer may be easy and without thinking they’d pick the ground up custom just for the fact that they would have a bike like no one else’s. However, for those who are more analytical they may consider all the angles, pros and cons.
Personally I’d take the H-D route. Why? First of all there’s the warranty issue. I’m not saying custom builders don’t offer warranties or stand by their work, but “Joe Bike Builder” doesn’t have a network of dealerships across the country that can help out when in a bind. Another reason is because with the majority of aftermarket parts are made to fit/bolt onto stock Harley’s. So that means that with a little creativity I could re-build the same bike over and over again ending in a different look or style each time. Sure the same could be done for a custom build, but it would most likely take a lot more time, money and effort.
But then again it would be nice to build something from the ground up for myself, just for the hell of it.
