Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-off / Mike Rabideau

Mike Rabideau on his Grand Championship Build-Off winning trike for last year’s Hot Bike Invitational build-off
The 2015 Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-off will be held in conjunction with the Hot Bike Tour, which takes place September 9-13 starting in Spirit Lake, Iowa and concluding in Billings, Montana. The bikes will be ridden daily and judged upon by event attendees via ballot boxes at every event stop. There will be a Daily winner per stop and well as a Grand Champion that wins the title with the most total votes over the five days of the tour.
Last year’s Invitational Bike Build-off broke new ground for build-off formats with it’s concept of ‘build it and ride it’. It was a great test of man and machine producing loads of excitement and good times along the 5 day tour.

I decided to do a modified Harley VL frame with a Harley RL springer fronted, powered by a magneto drivin’ Shovelhead
As the 2014 Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-off GRAND CHAMPION, Mike Rabideau of Majik Mike’s Designs is coming back for this year’s Build-Off with more tricks up his sleeve. Last year he came out of left field with an amazing trike that wowed the crowds at all the tour stops and was crowned Grand Champion at the conclusion of the tour.

Here is what he is brewing up for the 2015 Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-off in his own words:
Last year was one for the books for sure and I’m excited to come back to ride and hang out with the guys again. I decided to stick with something more up my alley which consist of two wheels not three. I decided to do a modified Harley VL frame with a Harley RL springer fronted, powered by a magneto drivin’ Shovelhead. Beings that we have to ride these bikes a thousand miles, I went with a Baker 6 in a 4 speed case that Baker Drivetrain was generous enough to back me on. This bike won’t be the most ideal bike to ride across America on but I’m going to do it anyways. Come on out and join us for a good time and memories that you won’t forget. See you there!
