ANAMOSA, Iowa - J&P; Cycles® is proud of the relationship it has formed over the years with Camp Courageous of Iowa, located in Monticello, Iowa, a mere 10 miles from J&P;’s headquarters. Since 2002, J&P;® has incorporated an Industry Golf Outing into the Open House festivities. This year, the Golf Outing, the Annual Poker Run (held earlier in June) and water donations during the Open House raised a total of $15,000 for Camp Courageous. Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational facility for handicapped and special needs children and adults ranging in age from one to 105.

J&P; Cycles® Vice President Jill Parham and Director of Operations Zach Parham presented this year’s check to Camp Courageous of Iowa Executive Director Charlie Becker. “We are thrilled to present this year’s check to Camp Courageous. Each year, the ability to provide a donation of this magnitude is due to the tremendous support we receive from our customers, employees and manufacturers,” said Vice President Jill Parham. This year’s $15,000 brings the total donations to Camp Courageous from J&P;® to well over $100,000.

On June 25, J&P;® held its 9th Annual Golf Outing at Fawn Creek Country Club in Anamosa. The golf tournament originally began as a fun event for the many manufacturers and vendors who make the trek to Eastern Iowa for the J&P; Cycles® Annual Open House. This event gives J&P;® the opportunity to play host to a relaxing afternoon of friendship and fun, all while raising money for a worthy cause. Distributors and media from around the country attend the event and contribute by sponsoring holes and awards in addition to making cash donations. In total, 44 representatives from 30 of J&P; Cycles(r) exhibitors and industry media participated in the tournament.
