Kendon Industries Inc. | Limited Edition Dual Motorcycle Trailer

Kendon’s trailers are designed to easily store in as little space as possible. By folding the tail of the trailer and standing the unit on end, it takes up a 28×84-inch area and stands 93 inches tall. You can see how the deluxe loading ramp mounts under the trailer for safe transport when not in use.

With the Dowco trailer cover pulled from its storage bag and slid over the trailer, we couldn’t refrain from the Batman comments.

Under the trailer is the spare chrome steel wheel and bias-ply tire. It’s mounted high enough and far enough back to provide the most ground clearance possible. Kendon’s captured axle mounts can be seen as well. The torsion axles are not linked so the trailer reacts to the road the same whether empty, single, or dual loaded.

The upgraded aluminum wheels and radial tires included in the Limited Edition trailer package present a much sportier and finished appearance as well as providing a sturdier platform for heavy Harleys and cruisers.

When the trailer tail is flipped over, a rubber ball-and-socket latch keeps the tail from bouncing incessantly.

Covered in a contrasting orange and black with a wide swath of polished aluminum diamond-plate, the 20th Anniversary trailer sure looks fabulous. The rails can be easily removed leaving you with a pure 5×7-foot flat trailer for any other uses you might have. New to this year’s line is a locking mechanism allowing the trailer to be transported opened up while unladen.

Additional items included in the price of the Limited Edition are an all-weather cover with carrying bag, eight soft ties and tie-downs (enough for two motorcycles), swivel trailer jack, and trailer wheel chocks.
Of all the things you can do with your motorcycle, trailering it will always raise the debate level. Being so, Kendon Trailers’ tag line for its hauling units states, “The second best way to move your bike.” First choice would be to, obviously, ride the sucker. Trailers can be a necessity at times, but they are always cumbersome and require a storage footprint most owners would choose not to deal with. Kendon has been creating solutions to this very problem for years. This year marks the company’s 20th anniversary and as such, decided to commemorate it by releasing the Limited Edition Dual Motorcycle Trailer you see here.
Kendon’s Limited Edition Dual Motorcycle Trailer includes all the standard features of the regular dual trailer with added benefits. It features round tube steel construction with a lower 13-inch platform, longer loading ramp with guide rails, integrated front wheel chocks, and a new rear folding section lockdown clamp. It doesn’t stop there either. That two-tone orange-and-black powdercoat can’t be missed, nor can the LED taillight kit, 13-inch aluminum wheels with radial tires riding on an integrated torsion bar axle, crank down swivel jack, and Dowco trailer cover. Weighing in at 400 pounds with a trailering capacity of 2,000 pounds, Kendon has you covered should you need to tow your bike anywhere. And we almost forgot, storing this trailer is a breeze because the end of the trailer folds over the deck and this trailer stands up! Swivel casters at key points allow you to roll the trailer around while it’s on end in your garage. MSRP for the Limited Edition trailer rings in at $3,895.95 versus the standard trailer’s $2,649.95 price tag. After checking out the comparative differences between the two at kendonusa.com, we’re sure you’ll agree that the new trailer is too cool to pass up. HB
