Kirk Taylor Profile/ Sailor Jerry Presents Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-Off

Running in conjunction with this years GEICO Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour is the Sailor Jerry Presents Hot Bike Invitational Bike Build-off featuring the world’s best bike builders. The Invited builders will have to put their metal where their mouth is and build a badass bike that they can and will actually ride over 5 days and 1,000 + miles.
One of those featured builders is Kirk Taylor of Custom Design Studios.

Kirk Taylor is the owner and driving force behind Custom Design Studios. He specializes in one of a kind custom creations for the motorcycle enthusiast who is looking for something different. CDS has won numerous awards, been featured in many major publications and has had their work seen worldwide.

CDS was established in 1988 after seeing a need for custom paint work in the area. Kirk grew up in a machine shop that his father owned and had always been around motorcycles as a child. With a mechanical background and artistically bent, he saw a natural blending of mechanical art, or two-wheeled canvases as his path in life.
Kirk’s personal preferences lean towards retro style choppers and bobbers, but he is just as comfortable building a wide-tire 21st century pro street bike as well. He doesn’t believe a builder should limit themselves when it comes to expressing their vision of art.
