Situated smack dab in the center of California halfway between NorCal and SoCal, Bandit Town might very well be the center of the coolness universe if Jen McMillan, the mayor of Bandit Town USA and owner of Bandit Brand, has her way about it.

Located just outside of North Fork, California, this little Western town was originally built back in the early ’70s as a backdrop for movies and television. Outfitted with a saloon, general store, an old jail, and even a wedding chapel, it’s only an hour and a half away from Yosemite.

With its nostalgic and vintage feel, Bandit Town sets the stage perfectly for grassroots biker events, live music, beer drinkin’, campouts, horse riding, rodeos, and even old-timey weddings if you are into that shackin’ up for a lifetime thing.

We attended the grand opening and witnessed some tomfoolery, the styling honky-tonk sounds of Whitey Morgan and the 78’s, and the bluesy Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights Band. It was truly an amazing time. Don’t miss out on the next one, y’all.
