2nd Annual Builder’s Breakfast Charity Event Hits Sturgis
Last year Billy Lane introduced Sturgis to the Builder’s Breakfast-a charity event raising money for Kids & Chrome. It was a huge success, raising more than $13,000 to help children in need. They were only able to accommodate 450 guests and had to turn away 500 more due to lack of space and food. That’s not too shabby, considering they only planned on selling 200 tickets.
The huge outpouring of generosity from the rider community was a pleasant and touching surprise to those involved. So much so that Choppers Inc. is making it a biannual event, with the other Builder’s Breakfasts taking place during Daytona Bike Week for those who can’t make the ride to South Dakota.
The 2nd Annual Breakfast will be held again at the legendary Broken Spoke Saloon on Lazelle Street in Sturgis. Anticipate more of everything this year-more food, more auction items, and more builders. For $25, Breakfast ticket holders will be served breakfast, be registered to win one of more than 50 gift bags filled with builder’s shop merchandise, bid on once-in-a-lifetime signed materials, meet and have their photo taken with all 30-plus builders, and have the chance to win a professional portrait taken of them with their favorite builder at the event. The best part of all is the $25 goes to a great cause: Make-A-Wish, South Dakota.
Joining the Builders will be volunteers and children from the Sioux Falls and Rapid City offices of Make-A-Wish.
