Hot Bike Magazine Editor’s Choice 2016 | Best Painter
It seems like every single painter in the custom V-twin scene is out there trying to replicate paint schemes from the ’60s and ’70s. There’s no denying that the Unknown Industries stunt team’s flashy paint jobs are partially responsible for the rebirth of the trend from the constant showcasing of their talents to the mainstream public all across the world. The main man behind the glitz and glam and the one responsible for the team’s clean designs is Taylor Schutlz from Schultz Designz. Based in a sleepy town in Northern California named Petaluma, this one-man show has been pulling the paint trigger for more than 10 years despite barely looking legal enough to drink. But don’t let his youthful appearance fool you—Taylor’s painting skills are technically spot on, and his talent is on par with others who have been doing it longer than him. Taylor is on his way to leaving his permanent mark on the custom motorcycle scene. It will be interesting to watch the chapters of his work unfold and be written in the history book of paint.
