Mama Tried Motorcycle Show
Mama Tried is one-day gallery style motorcycle show with over 60 custom bikes on display. Focusing on the Midwest but with work from all over the country, the Mama Tried show blends vintage race bikes and custom choppers with the rare, distinct and unexpected in custom motorcycle work.
Bringing together different parts of the motorcycle world with a diverse cross section of bikes, the curated collection demonstrates the huge overlap and overwhelming similarities in hand fabrication from stylized choppers to role specific race bikes.
Bikes were sourced from shops, garages and personal collections throughout the Midwest and from either coast. The result is an exhibit of work seldom seen by the public and outside the racetrack. Looking within and beyond Wisconsin’s Harley-Davidson tradition, the show epitomizes the wealth of custom work in the region and gives note and attention to the long history of racing, ice riding and hill climbing.
Bike builders include Jeff Wright of Church of Choppers/FTW, Scott T-Bone Jones of Noise Cycles, Denver Dan from Speed Merchant and Tony Prost from Analog Cycles.
