Unreal Moto Wants to Make Harley Dyna Wide Glides Great Again!

For Jonas Paliulis of Unreal Moto in Phoenix, the spark for building custom motorcycles ignited the moment he rolled his first Harley-Davidson Dyna into the garage. It wasn’t just any Dyna—it was a 2006 Wide Glide, and that first ride home was enough to light the fuse for his full-blown obsession. Jonas calls Unreal Moto his home away from home, and he took what began as a simple handlebar swap and turned it into a full-fledged Dyna transformation with one goal in mind: to make Wide Glides great again.

Jonas spent four months transforming his Dyna from a bone-stock 88ci to a 95ci fire-breathing machine, with S&S 585 cams, pump, and camplate. The heads and jugs were machined by Naylor Performance, and every internal component was replaced with top-tier parts from Feuling and ARP. The bike retains the original Harley-Davidson six-speed transmission and frame but upgrades nearly everything else that matters when it comes to performance and ride feel.

Suspension is dialed for both comfort and handling with Progressive front springs and 2-over tubes, while a Legend 14” Revo Arc shock setup keeps the rear end planted. SMT’s PS3 wheels wrapped in Lyndall floating rotors and pads give the Wide Glide a modern, performance-focused stance.

Jonas opted for a bold, nostalgic paint job—Harley’s limited “76/150” badged green with blue flames—that nods to classic chopper aesthetics while giving off a fresh, modern edge. Supporting that look is a mix of premium aftermarket components:
ThunderMax ECM for refined engine management
Fab 28 exhaust for aggressive sound and performance
Thrashin’ Supply handlebars and controls with TC Bros risers and Arlen Ness levers
Custom Dynamics LED lighting front and rear
A custom-machined pulley and a Saddlemen seat round out the bike’s long-haul comfort
This isn’t just a show pony—it’s Jonas’ Sunday cruiser, built with the perfect balance of aggressive styling and rideability. Building the Dyna coincided with the launch of the Unreal Moto shop. The bike sat idle for a while in the early days, but once Jonas graduated from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI), the late-night grind began. One of the most rewarding moments of the entire project? “Hearing her start,” Jonas says. “This was one of my first engine builds on my own, so I went through everything very thoroughly.”
Unreal Moto has no shortage of projects in the pipeline. Two frame-up FXR builds are waiting in the wings, alongside a full rebuild of a 2000 Screamin’ Eagle Road Glide. Jonas also recently scored a 1996 Dyna Convertible—his birth year bike—with matching green flames. It’s clear the passion is only growing. Jonas credits the support of his family and the Unreal Moto crew (@unrealmotosportsphx) for making this build a reality. Shout-outs also go to Spencer Martinson at SMT Wheels (@smtwheels.spencer) and Jason Arnold at Fab 28 (@fab28.industries). Jonas sums up his build simply: “Make Wide Glides great again.” And with this bike, he’s doing exactly that—one green-flamed Sunday ride at a time.
