The 2018 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight Special has a starting price of $11,299 and comes in three color options. We have the Billiard White edition for testing. The Sportster Forty-Eight Special is still equipped with the air-cooled Evolution engine with a 1,202cc displacement.

To get the peak performance numbers out of our test bike we ran fourth-gear pulls in our dyno room and came to the final numbers of 57.84 hp and 66.80 pound-feet of torque.
Running fourth-gear pulls on the dyno, we got 57.84 hp at 5,450 rpm and 66.80 pound-feet of torque at 3,660 rpm.
