The Kyle MacFarlane Foundation To Build And Auction Off A Custom Harley Davidson Motorcycle, With Smash Mouth Lead Singer Steve Harwell
Oakdale, California - The Kyle MacFarlane Foundation is working with Smash Mouth lead singer Steve Harwell to purchase and build a custom Harley Davidson motorcycle that will be auctioned off to raise awareness to the causes and treatment of digestive disorders. Harwell is a supporter of the foundation that was started by Kyle MacFarlane, a 23 year-old who suffers from gastrointestinal disorders which there are no current cures. “The idea of building a custom motorcycle came from my mom’s past experience of working for Hot Bike Magazine in the circulation department,” says MacFarlane. “When we had the opportunity to meet with Steve Harwell, we discovered he is also a motorcycle enthusiast, and is willing to lead the effort in the bike build-up, and showcase it at various shows and upcoming Smash Mouth concerts planned throughout 2012 and 2013.”
The motorcycle will be built with parts and charitable donations from a variety of aftermarket companies. Once completed, the motorcycle will be auctioned off at one of the Foundation’s events. All of the proceeds will go towards the Foundation’s mission to fund research into the causes and treatment of digestive disorders. The Foundation will also be conducting several events, including two Northern California motorcycle Poker Runs in June and October of 2012. There will a celebrity Golf Tournament with the Donald Trump Organization scheduled for September 2013. For more information contact The Kyle MacFarlane Foundation, P.O. Box 1560, Oakdale, CA 95361.
