Springfield Illinois To Host the GEICO Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour 2014
The GEICO Motorcycle Hot Bike Tour 2014 will thunder into downtown Springfield IL on August 18 as the Third stop of the 5 day, 1,000 mile journey. Springfield , the home Abraham Lincoln and the capital of Illinois, is chock full of historic sites, great local dining and interesting boutique shopping.

-Springfield is home to 14 different Lincoln Sites including the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, the Old State Capitol and Lincoln Herndon Law Office and Lincoln’s Tomb. In nearby Petersburg, you can stroll through the reconstructed pioneer village of New Salem.
-The city is a stop along historic Route 66 and is home to the Cozy Dog Drive In, the original hot-dog-on-a-stick. The quirky restaurant is filled with ’66 memorabilia and souvenirs.
