S&S Cycle 124-inch Hot Set Up Kit Install Part 3
Yesterday, we left off with the completed H-D Twin Cam engine being bored-out from it’s stock size of 88ci to a monstrous 124ci. This month we get it back in the 2005 H-D Dyna FXDX and wired it up and ready for the dyno. Here’s how we did it.

Our man Danny Wilson, aka The Motor Witch, did all the motor work and now he has deadlifted the Twin Cam motor and put it back into the bike.

Once Danny slid the 124ci motor into the frame of the bike he then attached it to the transmission. At this time we also used all-new motor mounts and hardware as well.

We also employed the usage of an S&S IST ignition module as well. It was specifically designed for big-bore applications like this 124-inch Hot Set Up kit.

We also installed an all-new Twin-Cam specific charging system since the other one was a few years old.

The clutch and primary drive were checked for wear, cleaned, and reinstalled.

And the 88ci to 124ci S&S Hot Set Up kit is in the bike. Next month we will be putting the bike on our dyno and seeing how much horsepower and torque we get out of this mad motor.
