Oldies Rule Forever / 2005 Harley Davidson Road King
When LA Baggers owner Armando Hermosillo began selling fiberglass extended long bags several years ago, he had no idea that what started simply as making a few odds and ends for friends would eventually end up as shipping parts all around the world. In just a few short years, the lowered and slammed bagged look has expanded from his small paint and body shop in South El Monte to Hawaii, Oakland, San Diego, and Texas. And it’s not just the LA-style bikes that these bags have been installed on but a wide variety of bikes after that long and low look as well.
While known for their bags, LA Baggers is no stranger to complete bike builds either.

For those, Armando draws inspiration from growing up in East Los Angeles, cruising down Whittier Boulevard, and hanging out with his friends in his lowrider. This bike is just another example of the traditional West Coast lowrider meets Harley-Davidson, from the bright paint with a sparkly flake glimmering in the sun to the spinning 21-inch wire wheels wrapped in a thin whitewalls pounding the streets.
In 2013, Armando and world-famous painter Danny D. Galvez were invited to Las Vegas

Armando and world-famous painter Danny D. Galvez were invited to Las Vegas
to the world’s largest aftermarket car show called SEMA by Steven Caparro of Axalta Coatings to build and paint a custom bike using its paint. For this build, Armando and Danny decided to bring back the traditional old-school lowrider panel paint designs.
Armando began with a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, extending the front and rear fenders to match the fiberglass extended bags. Excessive amounts of chrome and Samson tru-duals exhaust with long 39-inch pipes with the Cholo tips are the trademark of any good lowrider

long 39-inch pipes with the Cholo tips are the trademark of any good lowrider
, though you better watch for curbs when backing up because these pipes act as unintentional curb feelers. Armando also knew he had to have ample tunes when cruising the parks or car shows, so he lined the bags for sound. To get low, lowriders come equipped with air ride, so when you pull up to the show you can flip a switch and slam it down for that crowd-stopping stance. The bike was no different, and a Platinum Air Ride was added to handle the ground game.
Now that this build is all done, Armando’s not standing still and letting others catch up. He currently has two more bike builds underway but with a different twist. Armando and Anette would like to thank Steven Caparro at Axalta for the opportunity of using its paint and displaying at SEMA. Also a thanks to Danny D. Galvez for his detailed work on the paint job and to everyone for their awesome feedback and interest in the bike.
